Tyronne a.k.a TDK a.k.a Ty boogie a.k.a TapeDeckKid has been in the DJ circuit for many years playing from downtown to uptown in at joints like Britomart – 1885, 1885 Basement, Racket, Snapdragon, Rakinos, Khuja, Ponsonby Social Club and La Zeppa.
This music wonder boy is a chameleon playing you boom bap, soul, R&B, funk, jazz and house. He is known for his ability to seamlessly blend the 1’s and 2’s into your speakers and command the dance floor. He is a turntablist as much as he is a beat selector dropping scratches and cuts. He’s been a resident at your favourite spots and currently brings you Thursdays at Rakinos.
He’s featured in gigs from Christchurch to Wellington and Auckland with acts like Team Dynamite, Home Brew, PNC and international performers. He has opened for Dead Prez, Onra and Pharaoh Monch to name a few. Tyronne currently hosts a radio show with Hazbeats of Home Brew on Basefm and has also appeared as a guest on GeorgeFM.
