The one known as Morning Steppa, has been causing mischief on the Auckland DJ scene for a wee while now, hosting radio shows circa '04 on KFM, BaseFM / GeorgeFM, supporting international acts from TM Juke, DJ Regal (Wiseguys) to Lee Scratch Perry, Mad Professor, Flying Lotus to King Britt and Nickodemus. And over the years has held residencies in many of Auckland's popular hang outs.
He has gained a reputation and honors in the downbeat genre, but often carries a mix bag of uptempo jazzy, funky, bassy, glitchy and deep skankin' dance floor nuggets. Able to switch genre and tempos, co-ordinating vibes on a whim.
So expect an unexpected blend of finely roasted beats carefully selected by a connoisseur.
